On a bright day in midweek, the lands were swaddled, some waking, some sleeping. The sun was pouring onto the green fields alongside the continuing roads. The bushes were gleaming with a layer of frost that was glamorously fragile. When the frost was melted into a form of nothingness, the sunshine seemed evil. The yellowing grasses or an insignificant bud that had been unnoticed before, now popped out and became extremely vivid.
Mei, as a pupa, fled from half a winter of hibernation, became a larva, struggled to climb to a treetop to breathe.
